When I was a little girl I saw a picture of an English Springer Spaniel and fell instantly in love with their sad eyes, long ears, and beautiful look. I would sit and watch the dog shows in hopes of seeing an English Springer Spaniel. I told my mom I would own one some day..........I bought my first English Springer Spaniel in 1986. I named her Alexandra and she became an integral part of our family. "Alex" was a constant companion to my three kids, and my best friend. Since Alexandra, we have grown to 5 females and 3 males.
My daughter and her husband own Dakota (l/w female) and Drake (black/white/tan sable male). We drove to South Carolina to pick up Drake and Thaiden. One look between Drake and my daughter and it was an instant attachment. She was so in love; They have been inseparable since.
My son owns Thaiden (b/w/tan male). Wherever my son is Thaiden is right by his side. They have been hiking in Colorado, camping, the lake, etc. A few years ago my son and son in law decided to take Thaiden and Drake hunting. Neither dog has been trained but that didn't deter the boys. To their delight both dogs did great and helped them bring back a couple pheasant!
My youngest daughter owns Preston (b/w/tan sable male). When Alisha is in the room Preston has eyes only for her and will follow her from room to room and sit at her feet.
My brother was an avid Labrador Retriever owner for years. He thought my Springers were too "pretty" to hunt. After his female passed away from age, he fell in love with a black and white female springer puppy from Makenzie and Thaiden's June '07 litter. Tehya soon changed his mind about springers being too "pretty" to hunt, she is an awesome hunter and companion.
I own Makenzie (b/w female), Presley (l/w female), and Madison (w/l female). They are "My Girls"
We are a family of Springers.....Mathiesen and Stout Springers KC
